We just prayed with Mom for the surgery. She will be going down to the operating room any moment. Last night was quite rough for her. She did not sleep all night due to the vomiting associated with her bowel obstruction. She is still quite concerned about the surgery, but was encouraged by your prayers and blogs (we read them to her this morning).
Mom wanted to share Col. 1:24 with everyone: "I now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His Body, which is the church."
She also wanted to say, "Thank you for all your prayers, they are sustaining me moment by moment."

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Juracheck, Anna, Stephen, Elizabeth and Andrew,
We prayed as a family for you, Mrs. Jurascheck and the family this morning and will have you on our hearts throughout the day. We love you Mrs. Jurascheck and are grateful to the Lord for you and all the gifts that you have to offer to His body.
I was thinking about this Psalm today, and hope that you can also find encouragement in it:
"I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth--praise to our God; many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done; and Your thoughts which are toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." (Ps. 40:1-5)
Mrs. Jurascheck, may the Lord surround you with His peace and comfort. We love you and are praying for you!
