Joanne was exhausted most of the day on Friday following round 2 of the chemotherapy. The medications involved before chemo treatments can sometimes cause a temporary "high" that is followed by a low or depression.
A resident beautician was able to cut Joanne's hair to a short length to help manage the process of hair loss.
Some of the staff expressed some optimism about Joanne getting off the daily TPN IV feedings early next week. Joanne has been able to climb about 14 stairs as part of her physical therapy, but will have to rebuild her strength in the next few days before continuing.
